WANT TO FIND YOUR DREAM HOME IN BERGEN?

Bergen is a village and municipality in Kennemerland, a well-known region in North Holland. The municipality has 29,904 inhabitants (source: CBS, 31 May 2018) and has an area of 119.85 km2. The village of Bergen consists of Bergen-Binnen and Bergen-aan-Zee. It is a very green municipality with many forests, dunes and beaches. To the north of the village of Bergen are the Schoorl Dunes, which connect to the North Holland Dune Reserve in the south. This vast and unique nature reserve has the highest and widest dunes in the Netherlands. In some places the dunes are 5 kilometres wide.
Bergen-Binnen offers a quiet residential area with history, museums and monuments. Beautiful and often architectural buildings and spacious homes. Bergen-aan-Zee is more of a tourist attraction with its beach, restaurants and recreational facilities.
The village is not too small, but certainly not too big. Yet it does not have a village mentality. It has style, a village centre with a number of restaurants, cafés and terraces. There are plenty of schools and shops. For extensive shopping, Alkmaar, one of the best shopping cities, is nearby (cycling distance). Various sports clubs,
